Gastronomy

Of very ancient origins, the moretta is without a doubt one of the symbols of Fano gastronomic experience. The legend says sailors invented it to keep warm and strong out in the open sea. It’s a special blend of coffee prepared with the right proportions of rum, anice and cognac with a piece of lemon peel. Representative of this city is as well the the brodetto di pesce, a fish soup celebrated with the Festival del brodetto. This dish, also of local sailor tradition, was originally a meal for the poor. In September, during the festival, you can taste this delicious fish soup characterized by a very special flavor for just 15 €.
